College Essay Writing Support

If you are looking for help planning or editing your college essays, I am here to help! I am a trained writing consultant with years of editing and tutoring experience. I am currently doing asynchronous editing and holding in-person sessions to help clients develop their thesis statements, structure their common app essays and if desired, support them in meeting deadlines. Essay Editing - If you have a finished draft and are looking for a second set of eyes to help strengthen organization, structure, and clarity, or to provide an objective, outside opinion on your tone and narrative, I can edit your essay asynchronously.

Essay Planning and Editing - If you are struggling to get started or finish your essay, I can help you come up with a thesis, outline, structure and finished product through a combination of in-person/zoom meetings and asynchronous editing.

***Please note that as a writing consultant, my job is to help my clients write their own stories. I support them in their process but will adhere to the requirements of the Common Application to avoid plagiarism or violating college honor codes.

Biography

Through my years of tutoring, I have found a passion for supporting students in their writing processes. I started tutoring during my last two years at Battle Mountain High School. During my freshman year at Colorado College, I was hired by the campus Writing Center to be a peer writing consultant. In order to prepare for this job, I underwent training that included observing and co-leading eight sessions with experienced consultants and completing two courses, one on the theory behind effective tutoring and one regarding the strategies and methods that best serve clients. I was also selected to provide student input, including suggestions on organization, clarity, and content for a book that my Classics professor is writing. I have an Associate’s Degree from Colorado Mountain College and am pursuing a degree in Comparative Literature at Bryn Mawr College.
